The basis for Suzanne's sound is a 50's style of jazz that is rich, smooth & playful. It is music filled with stories & caricatures. She borrows stylistically from the greats of that era while adding her own silky approach that seductively draws the listener back to a time when adults were cool, sophisticated – hip cats!

The demand for her unique sound has enabled Suzanne to become more versatile. She has expanded her repertoire to include popular jazz standards so that her music easily fills the needs of Clubs, Festivals and other “Special Functions.” It's a tapestry of jazz, latin and blues designed to make you want to sit back & relax or get up & dance.

Suzanne's music continues to evolve. She is currently working on original material and hopes to have it available to share with you in the near future.

Rich, smooth & playful. The scope of Suzanne's music varies so much that her versatility truly shines through. She borrows from the 50's and stamps it with her own unique sound while retaining the purity of the music. Suzanne's sound moves flexibly throughout the jazz idiom.

Suzanne was exposed to this style of music while growing up. Raised with her father's record collection, she became enamoured with all of the swing greats. She was also influenced by an incredible late 50's collection of jazz during her days spinning vinyl at CJTT in her hometown of New Liskeard , Ontario.

Blossom Dearie, Nancy Wilson, Julie London & Doris Day represented the era of her parents. “I'm singing stories I remember.  Somehow I just feel at home when I'm singing this music. That's important to me.” 

More recently, Suzanne has been influenced by Karryn Alison & Stacey Kent. “I enjoy the originals but also love the freshness that shines through with some of the singers happening today. They bring with them an incredible sense of courage, conviction and respect.”
